24th of July

Another FABULOUS 24th..... some of the highlights are as follows:
1. Our day began with a great breakfast as Lance and Adri's along with delicious confections purchased by mom at the oriental bakery (we thought she was going to get kicked out of the store). Hopefully we won't be banned from that awesome parade spot next year.
2. We got to do a lot of people watching at the parade. Pretty sure the lady on the grass next to us is hooked on meth, we made friends with a lady and her 5 kids who needed the break provided by the shade we were hogging, and the lady selling water had no idea how big her backside was and kept bending over right in front of Lance....Ahh what wonderful memories we are creating.
3. The movie Hancock came next- that Will Smith knows how to make them movies!!! Jason Bateman wasn't bad either....the swearing at the beginning burned Hailie, Parker, Paige and Rachels ears. Oh well, Hailie and Paige are going to middle school in a month and they will get an ear full just walking down the hall (I'm not excited, but home school is not an option).
4. The annual mortuary fireworks show. People are showing up that I don't even recognize- we might have to start charging admission, especially because Dad has gone over the deep end and forgotten that he was once a volunteer fireman and is now purchasing illegal fireworks (which were awesome by the way). The kids ran around playing games, many of them tripped and fell so there was blood, fire, sweat (90 degrees outside), and tears. You can't beat any of that!!! WHAT A DAY.

Aren't holidays so exhausting. It sounds like this one was a good one though. It was fun hanging out at the mortuary as usual. Thank you for all your help and everything you did for Jesi and Ryan.
